From the first comma caterpillars raised at home to native pollinator social content and lifecycle vector illustration, Flutter House is where my creative world meets the quiet brilliance of UK pollinators. It’s a seasonal, evolving project – part sketchbook, part field diary, part conservation storytelling – & everybody’s welcome 🙂


Alongside these glimpses into British hedgerows and brambles, I’ve been contributing to stock libraries with detailed illustrations of caterpillars, pollinators and tropical life cycles, building a global visual record that starts right here, on local soil.

It’s here! After months of bringing an idea to life, My Own Fun Colouring Collection is out in the world and I’m so excited to share this very personal colouring book project with you.

This colouring book is more than just pages to fill with colour—it’s a collection of memories. Inspired by my grandad, Ray Chesterton, and his vintage cartoon illustrations, it started as something special we shared. I spent hours colouring in these pages as a child, and now all his linework has been lovingly recreated by me to share with you.

I’ve recently been accepted as a vector illustration contributor on iStock. This means a selection of my illustrations are available for purchase at a very reasonable rate and can be used as they are or individual elements selected & edited as desired using any vector software like Adobe Illustrator.

Very small start, and a challenge to know what & when to produce – both in terms of style & subject, but a start nonetheless : )

L&N’s wedding illustration

I haven’t been to many, but I love a good wedding. That little nugget of a golden day, either playing out perfectly or hiccups-a-plenty, when you get to see someone you love get flooded with it from all corners. Leonie & Nick’s was proper. I laughed, I got a bit weepy, and a bit tipsy, and I did the conga! Thank you so much for such an amazing day shared with the two of you.

The invites, the dress, the flowers, the food, everything was perfectly designed from start to finish, even her p’interest board was beautiful! I wanted to create them a special gift, a wedding illustration that fit in with their vision for the day, their own sense of style, and things that were personal to them as a couple. I think they liked it 🙂

A recently completed commission for ‘Gilead’.
Co-Written by Jo McKinney-Green & Tamsin Urquhart. This is an original production inspired by Margaret Atwood’s ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ & was performed for Brighton Fringe 2014.
An illustration with the right drama took some development for such a powerful production. Here are a couple of iterations.
